Ranch Popcorn

This stuff is so addictive that once you make this you’ll make it over and over again. My kids can’t seem to get enough of it.

Every birthday party we have it as one of our appetizers/snack foods. So naturally for the fun whimsical birthdays like the Unicorn and Mermaid themed birthdays I make it fancy.

I like to use the easy Wilton spray colors for this. I use a large pan and lay the popcorn

Recipe

Ingredient:

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels (we love Trader Joes Organic popcorn kernels)
  • 2 tbls coconut oil
  • 2 tbls Kerri Gold butter (3-4 if you use any other kind)
  • Your ranch Spice mix
    • Add 4tbls of the seasoning mix with 1/2tsp sea salt to a coffee grinder and blitz on the finest grind. Then take a recycled spice jar with cap that has smaller vs larger holes to store it in.

Directions:

Place your coconut oil, and 3-4 kernels into a LARGE pan or pot on high heat with a lid, and wait for one to pop then add the rest of your kernels. While that is going have your butter melting (we don’t have a microwave so we melt it on the stove). Once it’s melted set aside along with all your over ingredients so your ready to toss everything on once the popcorn is all popped.

While your doing all this make sure your pan is being moved very frequently and the fuller your pot gets with popped popcorn move the pan more so burning doesn’t occur. Once it’s to the golden 3-5 second delay turn the heat off and wait a moment and continue to shake the pan. Then VERY carefully partially open the lid and dump into a large bowl. (I use the lid almost like a shield because the popcorn will continue to pop).

Drizzle butter onto the popcorn then stir a bit. Then add a good sprinkling of the mix and stir then add one more sprinkle and mix again.

Extras:

Till then God Bless and Enjoy!
