Math and Writing Aids

When children are first learning how to write and do simple counting or simple addition sometimes it’s best to have some sort of aid readily available.

The Dad Lab has this method of the cloths pins and popsicle sticks on his page with a lot more great ideas. https://www.facebook.com/thedadlab I found these rainbow colored popsilce sticks at the Dollar Tree and while I was there I grabbed a package of the cloths pins.

Find the missing number. Also wonderful for fine motor skills.
Light addition and subtraction.

We already had these fun beads from a big container I bought for the kids for crafts.

My Mother in-law bought our children the wooded ABC’s 123’s boards for a Christmas gift last year. This is the set that we have and I am super impressed with it but they have ones that look just as nice for a lot less out there on Etsy. https://teachersapproved.com/products/wooden-alphabet-tracing-boards-set-pre-writing-skills

When we are working with writing or numbers we just pull this whole caddy over and use it when needed. Which is nice for a little independent thinking on their part, and gives them the confidence boost they need to push forward and solve their own problems.

Till the God Bless and Enjoy!
