We love crafting (as you’ll find out), and we’ve already sent out all our valentine’s.
This post is for you if you’re in need of a couple quick ideas. They have scissor skills, fine motor skills, creativity, counting, and writing.
Old fashion SweetHearts
Mmmm…remember those chalky hearts that have words of love on them? Well instead of the taste you can be inspired and make your own. I saw these shown on a door and since our kids share a room and the baby would be woken up while reading these. I’ve decided I’m just laying them on the table with their special little gift.
My parents always bought us a little something with some chocolates and I loved it so we have passed that tradition on.
This is so easy and literally took me 5 minutes to do.
Just take a few pieces of pastel construction paper cut-tear into two. Then either free hand (not that skilled), or use a scrap piece to make a heart and trace. Then cut them out and write the messages you want. Google is a great place to find the older messages and some newer ones. I took some Disney inspiration and wrote one “I LAVA YOU”.
This will be a great start to our school lessons!
Love Bugs!
These were super easy also. I just traced a circle then added a bump and cut what I needed. Then I had the oldest cut 2 red circles for each lady bug. I drew on hearts and had them color them then folded them and had the kids glue them onto their bugs. We added googly eyes, and used a white colored pencil to write on lashes (for the girls) and smiles for all. You can add a message on the front or back or none at all. Oh the beauty of crafting is you make it your own.
Till then enjoy and God Bless
